The Views from 314ft Podcast Episode 38: How Many Games?

In this pre-holiday episode, Randy and Derek discuss everyone’s favorite baseball topic: labor strife. They try their best to avoid the topic, but it’s clear offseason moves won’t be made until these issues are resolved. We cover the dispute between MLB and the MLBPA regarding the Commissioner’s unilateral power to determine the length of the 2021 season. From there, the podcast brothers discuss potential trade targets that can boost the starting rotation.

    Good episode, fellas.

Owners know exactly what they’re doing. They’ve been chipping away at salaries and costs for years. The pandemic just gives them one more reason to cry poverty.

And good call on selling broadcast rights to a non-existent playoff round. Can’t wait to see what packet of peanuts MLBPA gets in return when they eventually agree to it. Probably literally providing packets of peanuts in the clubhouse during the postseason.
