DoTF: The Trenton Thunder are your Eastern League champs

News & Notes

  • This is it for Down on the Farm for now, though I’ll do weekly updates on Arizona Fall League results for the Yankee farmhands there. I’ll also keep some track of winter league results. It’s been a pleasure, y’all!

DoTF: Scranton swept in 17-2 home loss

News & Notes

  • Forgot to mention this in yesterday’s DoTF: For Luis Severino and Dellin Betances’ rehab appearances in Trenton, they use the MLB ball when they’re in the game, then the MiLB ball when they’re not. That way, they can use the ball they’re used to.
  • As the headline indicates, Scranton’s season is over. That leaves the Thunder as the only affiliate remaining.
  • The Thunder will play Bowie (Double-A Orioles) in the Eastern League Championship Series. They will host the Baysox on Tuesday and Wednesday, then go on the road Thursday-Saturday.
  • Trenton has lost in the ELCS twice in the last three seasons. They last won the ELCS in 2013.
