The Yankees begin their final road series before London in another highly populous city, Chicago. Since they’re playing the NL West and not the Central, this is a trip to the South Side for the White Sox.

Though you may think of the White Sox as the 100-loss iteration of a year ago, this team has held close to .500 at 32-34. They even took two of three in the Bronx in April. Here’s my preview of the series from earlier today.

Here’s our the lineups for the opening matchup of this four-game series.

Notes

  • 1B/DH Kendrys Morales suffered a slight calf strain and is on the 10-day IL. That allowed the Yankees to call up Nestor Cortes Jr. before he spent 10 days in Scranton.
  • To explain his presence in the lineup, OF Mike Tauchman was recalled to take Stephen Tarpley’s spot after the reliever was optioned Tuesday. Tauchman hit .211/.306/.411 (90 OPS+) with the Yankees over 108 PAs to start the year.
  • Giancarlo Stanton is still on schedule to join Scranton-WB for three games this weekend after raking in Tampa. He’ll play three straight games and potentially be activated Tuesday against Tampa.
  • Aaron Judge could begin his rehab stint this weekend as well, though Aaron Boone stated he’ll need more time in the Minors.

It’ll be an 8:10 EDT first pitch. The game is on YES and WFAN. Enjoy!
