The Yankees are playing like crap again. Last night’s loss was the team’s fifth in six games after completing a ten game winning streak. As a result, the Yanks are in jeopardy of falling to the eighth seed if the club doesn’t get it’s act together. One of two things need to happen to remain the fifth seed: either the Blue Jays need to lose one game to Baltimore or the Yankees need to win out.
It’d be nice for the Yankees to just win these next two and enter the postseason on a high note. I wouldn’t hold my hat on Baltimore taking a game from Toronto this weekend, that’s for sure. Here are the lineups for today’s Yankees-Marlins game as the Bombers look to get back in the win column:
Miami Marlins (30-28)
- Magneuris Sierra, LF
- Jon Berti, 3B
- Garrett Cooper, 1B
- Matt Joyce, DH
- Lewis Brinson, RF
- Jorge Alfaro, C
- Jazz Chisholm, 2B
- Monte Harrison, CF
- Miguel Rojas, SS
LHP Trevor Rogers
New York Yankees (32-26)
- DJ LeMahieu, 2B
- Aaron Judge, RF
- Giancarlo Stanton, DH
- Luke Voit, 1B
- Gio Urshela, 3B
- Aaron Hicks, CF
- Clint Frazier, LF
- Gary Sánchez, C
- Tyler Wade, SS
RHP Deivi García

Donnie Baseball, Jetes and Jorge showing the ‘new age’ analytic driven crap version of baseball played by the Yankees how to play winning baseball while overrated stiffs like Stanton try to pull a pitch 6″ outside for a rally killing DP.
Just pathetic and embarrassing…

It ain’t gonna get any better, Derek. This is a bad bad club. Can’t hit, can’t pitch, can’t field. Boone’s clubs are always sloppy and strike out too much. No fundamentals are taught. They couldn’t execute simple bunts and run downs and couldn’t field grounders. Donnie Baseball’s team executed on all of those things. Why didn’t we hire him again?
Gleyber off again. Voit hobbling on a broken foot and has played a month straight. Everyone else gets three days off a week. Judge did look better last night but Stanton looks worse than Gary and Boone won’t move him down in the order. Boone even tried to get tossed and that didn’t motivate anybody. It’s time for a new voice next year.
