40 games down, 20 to go. Half of the remaining games are against tonight’s opponent, the Toronto Blue Jays. Of course, these Blue Jays are playing in Buffalo this year as a result of COVID-19 precautions taken by Canada.

News & Notes

  • Still no timetable for Giancarlo Stanton’s return, though Aaron Boone stated that he ran the bases, threw, and hit off a machine at Yankee Stadium today. (Bryan Hoch)
  • Brian Cashman has made the trip north to Buffalo. (Kristie Ackert)
  • Gary Sánchez is on the bench once again, though that isn’t a surprise.

This game starts at 6:37 p.m. EDT. It’s on YES, WFAN, and WADO. By the way, it’s WFAN broadcaster Suzyn Waldman’s birthday today. Happy birthday to Suzyn! Hope everyone enjoys this one.

You’re going to have to clean house at the end of the season. Boone and the entire coaching staff have gotta go. These players have no strategy. They don’t work well together. Guys like Green and Gary keep getting trotted out there to fail. That’s bad coaching. Kevin Cash was right about that. The training staff, including jolly ol’ Stevie Donahue have gotta go. They don’t keep anyone healthy. You’ve gotta look at Cashman and his inactivity. Other clubs don’t just sit around and complain the price is too high. They go for a championship like we used to under George. And I think you look at blowing the club to smithereens. Trade Judge, Stanton, Green, Crappavino and Gary for a box of jujubees.

On a positive note, we can stop watching the rest of the game. What a horror show.

This team is just bad. Even when they get leads Green and Crappavino blow it. Worst Yankee team I’ve since in decades.
