Tonight marks the start of a three game series between the Yankees and Orioles at Yankee Stadium. As you know, Baltimore is supposed to be the AL East doormat, but they began their season by sweeping the Red Sox in Boston. Tonight would be a good night for the Yankees to rebound from a tough series against Toronto with a win over an inferior Orioles club.

Jordan Montgomery will make his season debut while the Orioles counter with Jorge López. Here are the lineups behind both pitchers:

Baltimore Orioles (3-0)

  1. Cedric Mullins, CF
  2. Trey Mancini, DH
  3. Ryan Mountcastle, LF
  4. Maikel Franco, 3B
  5. Pedro Severino, C
  6. Pat Valaika, 1B
  7. Freddy Galvis, SS
  8. Ramón Urías, 2B
  9. Ryan McKenna, RF

RHP Jorge López

New York Yankees (1-2)

  1. DJ LeMahieu, 2B
  2. Aaron Judge, RF
  3. Aaron Hicks, CF
  4. Giancarlo Stanton, DH
  5. Gleyber Torres, SS
  6. Gary Sánchez, C
  7. Jay Bruce, 1B
  8. Gio Urshela, 3B
  9. Clint Frazier, LF

It’s an absolutely beautiful evening for baseball in the Bronx. Tonight’s game is one of those slightly earlier April night starts: 6:35pm eastern. WFAN and YES have the radio and TV broadcasts, respectively. Enjoy the game.

This series will be a failure unless the Yankees win all three games in this series by a minimum combined score of 60-1. I’ll grant them one run.
