News & Notes

  • Regular off-day for Aaron Judge, who is mired in a ridiculously bad slump right now. With three days on the Tropicana turf upcoming, this was to be expected.
  • Luke Voit may return as soon as Tuesday against the Rays. Even if not, his return is clearly imminent.
  • Gio Urshela and Rougned Odor both took some infield today as they try to recover from injury.
  • Darren O’Day is progressing as expected, but he’s still not throwing. He is still a ways away before he returns.

First pitch is at 1:05 pm, with the game on YES locally and MLB Network nationally. As always, John and Suzyn will have the call on WFAN. Enjoy the game, everyone.

Well it’s a must win, Bobby. Marquee game on a holiday. George always made sure we won these games. Hopefully this is the last time we see Ford in a major league lineup. I know he had a big hit yesterday but the guy is hitting .100. Voit will give us a true clean up hitter to protect Stanton and Judge. Well mom, dad and I are about to head to Papa John’s for some half priced mother’s day cuisine to celebrate this special day.
