Who’s ready for some more Yankees baseball this afternoon? After two ugly losses yesterday, the Yankees and Mets are back at it this afternoon. That is, as long as the weather holds up. There’s plenty of rain in the forecast, and perhaps another postponement would do the Yankees good. I’m only half-kidding.
It’s difficult to have faith in the team’s seven game losing streak coming to an end when JA Happ is on the mound and no one other than Luke Voit and Clint Frazier can hit. At least DJ LeMahieu returns today. If the Yanks want to stay in the division title hunt, they need to get things in gear ASAP especially with the Rays coming to town in a few days. The Bombers are currently four games back of Tampa Bay with half of the season in the books.
Here are this afternoon’s lineups, weather permitting:

HE DID IT AGAIN! STOP TAKING THE DAMN STARTER OUT OF THE GAME WHEN HE’S DEALING. Boone is the worst over manager. Watch the games! Happ should have finished the 8th.
