News & Notes:

  • Aaron Boone relayed a bunch of injury updates this morning. Via Bryan Hoch:
    • Justin Wilson threw live batting practice this morning and is ready to go. The team expects to activate him before next weekend’s series against Tampa Bay.
    • Luis Severino is doing well. He’s progressed to throwing sliders in addition to fastballs on the mound.
    • On the other hand, Clarke Schmidt is still a ways away. He hasn’t resumed throwing and won’t until he’s asymptomatic. He suffered a common extensor strain early in spring training.
    • Luke Voit should be back in May.
  • MLB has moved the All-Star Game and draft out of Atlanta in response to Georgia’s new voting law.

This one gets underway at 1:05pm on a sunny but chilly in the Bronx. YES, MLB Network, and WFAN will carry the broadcasts. Enjoy the game.
