Just two more 10 p.m. starts (and a 4 p.m. afternoon game) separate the Yankees from the end of their West Coast trip. After finding themselves on the wrong end of a sweep in Oakland, they rebounded to beat the MLB-leading Dodgers. Their reward is a trip to Seattle to face the last-place Mariners.

The Yankees have the pitching matchup advantage in the final two games of this series, but they’re more neutral this evening; J.A. Happ is still looking to right things as he’s scuffled most of the year. On the other side, the Mariners will go with an opener followed by a soft-tossing lefty of their own in Tommy Milone.

On paper, the Yankees should sweep this series. They’re better than Seattle in every facet. Still, if the lowly Tigers can beat the Astros, then the Mariners can certainly beat the Bombers.
