These Athletic days, but oh those Oakland Nights…

For the next week and a half, the Yankees are gonna be on Pacific time, meaning we’ve got some late bedtimes and groggy mornings in our future. I, for one, am absolutely enthusiastic (Lies!).

Anyway, the Yankees have their second of three straight series against a potential playoff opponent. The Athletics are hot on the tails of the second wild card in the AL and have two series with the Yankees in a two-week span. Their hopes of passing the Rays in part rides on how they handle the Bombers.

Here are tonight’s lineups:

  2. Aaron Judge, RF
  3. Gary Sanchez, DH
  4. Gio Urshela, 3B

News & Notes

  • Luke Voit took BP in Scranton and should begin a rehab assignment soon. Seems he’ll be ready to be called up before or around Sept. 1.
  • Luis Severino threw a side session today and will face hitters Thursday. Dellin Betances will throw a long sider tomorrow.

Hope y’all are prepared for a late one. It’s a scheduled 10:07 p.m. start on YES and ESPN. Cheers on the coffee/tea.
