Yesterday’s game was an unmitigated disaster, featuring bad pitching, a modicum of hitting and a flourishing finish of position player pitching. It was not worth the time to watch it or think about it.
So let’s move on, shall we? That should be the last opener game for a little while as the Yankees are out of doubleheaders for the time being and have five healthy starters. What a world!
Masahiro Tanaka gets the opportunity to follow up his eight scoreless frames in Toronto against the Indians, who are as hot as anyone over the last month. I wouldn’t expect 2017 ALDS Game 3 Masahiro Tanaka, but we can certainly hope for it.
