The Yankees look to do something tonight that they haven’t done since 2012: Win their 10th straight game.
Last season, they went on a nine-game winning streak in early May. This year’s squad had an eight-game winning streak in June prior to this one, in which they’ve beat up on the Red Sox, O’s and Jays primarily.
This winning streak has been defined by a pitching resurgence and the collective next man up offensively, with players one would have ticketed for Scranton carrying the high-flying lineup. Now, they’ll fittingly put out even more of a Spring Training-esque lineup with Aaron Judge getting a day off.
