Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders

Scranton dropped to 13-5 on the season with yesterday’s 3-1 loss to Rochester (box score). They did take four of six from the Red Wings last week, at least.

  • Starting Pitcher: RHP Brody Koerner: 4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 5 BB, 1 K – 43 of 78 pitches were strikes (55%)…Probably would have been worse if not for two double plays.

High-A Hudson Valley Renegades

Hudson Valley fell back to .500 with a 6-5 loss to Brooklyn in 12 innings yesterday (box score). This one was a doozy with the extra inning rule in play. • Hauver Heat Check: 2B Trevor Hauver: 0-4, R, BB, 2 K – Ends four game hit streak…Has cooled off a bit: .154/.313/.231 in last 16 plate appearances…still has an outrageous 211 wRC+ thanks to scorching start.
  • Statcast star: CF Elijah Dunham: 1-5, R , K – Had a 110.8 MPH lineout and 101.9 MPH fly out…naturally, his single was 87 MPH…Signed as an undrafted free agent last year (remember, the draft was only five rounds)…hitting .308/.438/.519 in 64 PA this season.
