Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders
The RailRiders fell to 13-6 after a 5-2 loss to the Bisons. Not a great night for the staff, who used 7 pitchers and surrendered 11 hits. Nasty Nestor was good, though. Also a pretty quiet night from the offense, which went 1-9 with RISP.
- Starting Pitcher: LHP Nestor Cortes Jr.: 4.0 IP, 4 H, zeros, 3 K – 72% of his pitches were strikes…another nice appearance for Nasty Nestor, who has allowed just 2 runs in 11 IP w/ 18 strikeouts

- In Relief: Sal Romano: 1.0 IP, 1 H, zeros, 1 K – a nice 69% of his pitches were strikes…nice Yankees debut for Romano

Double-A Somerset Patriots
The Patriots are 14-5 after a 2-1 victory over the Fisher Cats. Somerset pitchers struck out 16 opponents and didn’t walk anyone. That’ll do. They got outhit 7-4 in the game, but it was no matter.

High-A Hudson Valley Renegades
The ‘Gades continued their dance with .500, improving to 10-9 after defeating the BlueClaws 3-2. They scored one run in each of the 4th, 5th, and 6th innings to take the game. Let’s hope they can build on this one tomorrow.

Single-A Tampa Tarpons
The Tarpons improved to 14-5 after a low-scoring 3-2 victory over the Dunedin Jays. Nothing notable, really, though it’s always nice to see a young lower-minors staff only surrender 2 walks. That’s exactly what Tampa did tonight, so good stuff there.

- Hauver Heat Check: 2B Trevor Hauver: 2-4, 1 R, 1 K – nice multi-hit game for Hauver, who scored the tying run in the 8th after a single
- Multi-Hit Game: 1B Chad Bell: 2-4, 1 3B
- Leftovers: Josh Smith had a hit, a walk, and a stolen base…Anthony Volpe had a hit, a run, a walk, and was caught stealing…everyone else was hitless
