Triple-A, Double-A, and High-A were all rained out today.

Single-A Tampa Tarpons

The Tarpons offensive barrage continued, but the pitching let them down in Dunedin tonight falling 14-7 to the Blue Jays. That loss gives them a still great 16-7 record on the season.

  • Starting Pitcher: RHP Randy Vasquez: 2.0 IP, 7 H, 8 ER, 3 BB, 3 K – 55% of his pitchers were strikes in this brutal, brutal outing. Somehow he didn’t allow any homeruns.
  • In Relief: RHP Kevin Milam: 1.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1BB, 1 K – 62% strikes but couldn’t stop the bleeding.
  • In Relief: RHP Jhonatan Munoz: 3.0 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 6 K – has 15 K and 11 BB in 11 innings this season. A TTO pitcher if there ever was one.
  • In Relief: LHP Clay Aguilar: 2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K – took a lefty to finally stop the bleeding.
  • First Round Watch: SS Anthony Volpe: 1-5, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 2 K
  • First Round Watch: C Austin Wells: 3-5, 2 RBI – the singles and no power barrage continues
  • Hauver Heat Check: 2B Trevor Hauver: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K – ho hum, another XBH
  • Offensive Star: 3B Chad Bell: 1-3, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB
