  • Triple-A Scranton has released Ryan Lavernway, who quickly signed a deal with the Cincinnati Reds. Good for him. Lefty reliever Dan Jennings is joining Scranton, per Donnie Collins.
  • Garrett Whitlock is not likely to return this season, per Matt Kardos of the Trentonian. The Yankees’ 16th-ranked prospect felt something as he warmed up for Thursday’s start against Redding. A bummer.

    For those that missed it, Cashman had a long conversation with Frazier recently. Coley Harvey from ESPN has the details. But basically, he made Frazier feel all warm and fuzzy.
