  • RHP Randall Delgado was placed on the 7-day IL in Scranton while Triple-A LHP Rex Brothers is on rehab assignment in Staten Island.
  • Tampa LHP J.P. Sears was placed on the 7-day IL. OF Alexander Palma was activated from the 60-day IL, and C/1B Mickey Gasper was sent back to Charleston as Riverdogs C Eduardo Navas also was placed on the 7-day IL.
  • ADVISORY: The Pulaski Yankees have a pitcher named Nelson L. Alvarez and a first baseman named Nelson B. Alvarez. They are not the same player.
  • C Ryan Lavarnway went 3-for-4 with a 2B, HR, 6 RBI and 3 R in his Cincinnati Reds debut, so soon after the Railriders let him go.
  • Finally, the DSL Yankees had another offensive outburst, scoring 19 runs in the second inning Friday in a 23-10 win. If you remember, they scored 38 runs in a game a few weeks ago.
