  • Starting pitcher: RHP Luis Gil: 4.0 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 7 BB, 5 K — 53 of 99 pitches were strikes (54%)…Effectively wild, I guess. Had 13 walks in 30.2 innings with Somerset before the promotion to Triple-A, now has 10 in 9 innings with Scranton.

  • In relief: RHP Albert Abreu: 1.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K — 21 of 31 pitches were strikes (68%)
  • Can’t put him in park: CF Hoy Park: 3-7, 3 R, 2B, RBI — Yes, he played center field. Has never played the outfield in a minor league game. This is something to keep an eye on.
  • Leftovers: LF Greg Allen was the only hitless RailRider, though he did draw a walk…2B Derek Dietrich and RF Ryan LaMarre had three-hit games along with Park…SS Andrew Velazquez and 3B Armando Alvarez went yard.

Tyler Wade is arbitration eligible after this season. Playing Park in CF may simply be preparation for Park taking over Wade’s role.
