DoTF: Pulaski forces Game 3; Scranton pulls ahead in division before roster moves

News & Notes

  • Clint Frazier is officially getting called up to the Yankees on Sept. 1. Jack Curry reported that Frazier, Ryan Dull and Chance Adams are likely among the inital call-ups.
  • Trade! The Yankees dealt Ryan McBroom to Kansas City for international bonus pool money as well as cash or a PTBNL. The team lost Jhon Diaz, one of their top international commits, to the Rays because they hadn’t opened up bonus money, so this ensures they don’t lose some of their other July 2 players.

  • RHP Will Carter was called up to Trenton while RHP Kaleb Ort goes to Scranton.

I wonder if Clint will absorb most of Tauchman’s and Maybin’s ABs? Or perhaps just the latter with Clint and Tauchman platooning? Both Tauchman and Maybin have been slumping of late. I don’t believe they’ve called up Frazier just to sit him. If that was the case, they’d let him stay and play daily in Scranton through (hopefully) their postseason run.
