Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders

The RailRiders beat the Red Wings 6-3 and improved to 12-4 on the year. Pitchers held Rochester to just 4 hits, though they did allow 6 walks. 12 strikeouts will make those sting less, though. The offense had 8 hits and a ridiculous 10 walks.

Single-A Tampa Tarpons

The Tarpons improved to 12-4 on the season after dispatching the Mighty Mussels 9-7 today. Did you really think that something like “allowing 7 runs” would stop the Tarpons from winning a game? Come on now. Tarpon pitchers were awful, walking 7 batters (6 in the first 5 innings) but they did strike out 11. A win’s a win.
