Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders
Lehigh Valley topped SWB, 10-5 (box score). This game was ugly: there were three hit batters, brushback pitches, and eventually, benches cleared.
- Starting pitcher: RHP Nick Nelson: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 0 K — 19 of 43 pitches were strikes (44%)
- In relief: RHP Nick Goody: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 1 K — 13 of 24 pitches were strikes (54%)...Hit Alec Bohm with a pitch.
- In relief: RHP Brody Koerner: 0.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 HR — 5 of 8 pitches were strikes (63%)
- In relief: RHP Luis Gil: 4.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 7 K — 52 of 78 pitches were strikes (67%)…Pitching in relief as planned. Could see him in the Yankees bullpen to finish the season. Also nearly drilled Alec Bohm on a scary pitch near the head…Bohm was pissed and had been hit earlier.
- In relief: RHP Reggie McClain: 0.2 IP, 1 H, zeroes — 3 of 7 pitches were strikes (43%)
- In relief: RHP Brooks Kriske: 0.2 IP, zeroes — 5 of 7 pitches were strikes (71%)
- Prospect watch: CF Estevan Florial: 0-5, 3 K, SB
- Leftovers: Benches eventually cleared in this game. The Gil/Bohm at-bat may have been the catalyst, but David Paulino hitting C Max McDowell in the head was the last straw.
The beef started when Luis Gil threw a pitch up and in to Alec Bohm. Gil then struck him out and umpires warned both benches after a stare down. Gil also struck out a Phillies top prospect Mickey Moniak and flexed after doing so pic.twitter.com/wN5SvBkTfv

Even with this start, Wesneski has a 2.22 ERA in 28.1 innings this month. 2019’s sixth-round pick is finishing pretty strong.
- In relief: RHP Michael Gomez: 1.0 IP, zeroes — 5 of 8 pitches were strikes (63%)
- In relief: RHP Barrett Loseke: 1.0 IP, 1 K, zeroes — 8 of 12 pitches were strikes (67%)

High-A Hudson Valley Renegades
The ‘Gades held off Winston-Salem, 9-6 (box score). This one looked like a laugher when HV grabbed a 9-1 lead through the top of the eighth, but the Dash scored five in the bottom half to make things a bit more interesting.
- Starting pitcher: RHP Anderson Muñoz: 6.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR — 42 of 67 pitches were strikes (63%)…Longest outing of the season for the 23 year-old, who’s completed five innings just once before.

- Leftovers: 1B Pat DeMarco had a three-hit game, including two doubles…RF Eric Wagaman picked up two singles…3B Andres Chaparro, C Carlos Narvaez, and 2B Luis Santos tallied one hit each. LF Jake Sanford went 0-for-3.
Single-A Tampa Tarpons
The Tarpons scored two in the eighth, but it was too little, too late in a 6-2 loss to Clearwater (box score).
- Starting pitcher: RHP Alfred Vega: 4.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 6 K, 1 HR — 39 of 65 pitches were strikes (60%)…This was the 20 year-old’s debut at the level after posting a 1.50 ERA in 24 innings in the FCL. Doesn’t look like he has big velo (averaged 91.7 MPH on his fastball), but his curveball and slider spin quite a bit.
- In relief: RHP Yorlin Calderon: 4.0 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 0 K, 1 HR — 40 of 64 pitches were strikes (63%)
- The Martian: CF Jasson Dominguez: 1-4, 2B, 3 K — Has a nine-game hitting streak…11-for-34 (.324) with two doubles, a homer, three walks, and thirteen strikeouts…The swing-and-miss is still a bit high but good to see some better results of late.
- First rounder: SS Trey Sweeney: 1-4, RBI, K — Hitting .246/.378/.492 in Tampa
- Prospect watch: C Antonio Gomez: 0-4, RBI, K — 1-for-17 since promotion to Tampa
- Leftovers: 1B Tyler Hardman picked up the only other base hit for the Tarpons.
