DoTF: DSL Yankees win by 36 runs in 38-2 rout

  • Holy f***, the DSL Yankees scored a ton of runs. They had 38 to be exact. It’s apparently a Minor League record and it prompted me to put their box score at the bottom of this post. The 38 runs may be a professional baseball record (h/t Adam). Wild.
  • Lots of movement so I’ll put who is where now by affiliate:
    • Scranton: Stephen Tarpley back down from NYY while OF Zack Zehner is up from Trenton, C Kyle Higashioka reported from NYY.
    • Trenton: C Ryan Lidge, RHP Brady Lail and 3B Mandy Alvarez back down from Scranton, OF Isiah Gilliam up from Tampa.

    I checked the box score for the DSL Yankees game figuring someone must have had a bad day, going hitless or putting up a 1-6. Nope. Everyone had at least three hits. A total blowout.

      Two hits. So many numbers!

      Favelo probably had the “worst” day on the team, getting on base three times in 8 PAs with two hits and a walk, while leaving six runners on. Scored three runs. Every hitrer got fat.
